Facts About The Moorish Constitutional Convention And The Interim Special Committee’s Current State

What happened to the Moorish Constitutional Convention?

As I’m sure many Moors are aware by now, there’s been a lot of chatter on social media in the past few weeks about what happened to the Moorish Constitutional Convention (MCC). Ironically, most of the people talking about it either abandoned their duties, left and never returned or were removed from the Interim Special Committee (ISC). As one of the last few active members of the ISC, who remained committed to the cause of hosting and establishing a free Moorish National Constitutional Convention, I thought perhaps I should address the matter to put an end to the speculations and shine the light of truth where the darkness of ignorance persists.

For these reasons, I began drafting an article explaining why the ISC / MCC failed and the ways it could have been successful. However, after a week of researching every relevant document in my archives and writing more than 2,500 words, I realized the futility of my efforts. Considering how passive many ISC members were last year, “who among them would truly care about any of this?” I asked myself. So after much thought, I decided to scrap the lengthy article that practically no one would care about and focus on addressing the current state of the Interim Special Committee and the Moorish Constitutional Convention.

Moorish Constitutional Convention - Interim Special Committee
Moorish Constitutional Convention – March 19, 2021

For my readers who have no idea what this is about, the Interim Special Committee was a body politic established on March 19, 2021 by a global collective of individual Moors and groups such as the Rise of the Moors, Canaanland Moors, and other Moorish temples / organization. The purpose of this body politic was to “host and establish a free Moorish national constitutional convention and take all necessary steps to meet these ends.” It was a noble effort with the ultimate goal of establishing a national government for Moors. However, as time would reveal, it was plagued with passive Moors and a few COINTELPRO agents. At its peak, the ISC had upwards of 200 members in its original Telegram group.

The Current State of the Interim Special Committee (ISC)

To put it succinctly, the Interim Special Committee is dormant as of the date of this article. Meaning that it is inactive, much in the same way the Empire of Morocco has been inactive but still exist in name only. To fully comprehend how the ISC became dormant, you must know some key details about what happened last year.

Moorish Constitutional Convention – June 21, 2021

Following the Moorish Constitutional Convention meeting held on June 21, 2021, the members and officials returned to their various sub-committees to continue the next phase of the yearly schedule. Unfortunately, on July 3, 2021, 11 members of the Moorish Militia committee were abducted [at Wakefield, Massachusetts] and held as prisoners of war – some for over a year. Among the abductees was ISC Chairman Tariff Bey who appointed Kendrah Bey as Co-Chair. In the aftermath of this incident, the ISC temporarily descended into chaos as agent provocateurs caused a great deal of confusion. This was soon resolved when the ISC Interim Chairwoman Kendrah Bey and other officials brought order to the chaos, but the damage was significant.

A new ISC Telegram group was created for better moderation purposes and members of the original group were instructed to join. However, only about 50 members complied and the vast majority of them remained passive and did not participate any further. As a result of the continued inactivity, during the Committee Heads meeting on September 3, 2021, the Interim Chairwoman called for a vote to abolish the new MCC / ISC group chat and restructure the ISC to only include active members, not passive. The vote passed 7 to 2, but the group owner Mawhub never complied. Therefore the new MCC / ISC group chat has since been considered a defacto social chat with no official capacity.

During the upcoming MCC meeting on September 21, 2021, of the 50 members of the ISC group, only 17 attended. At least eight of whom were committee officials.

Around this time, sedition was afoot as the former Technology Committee (TC) Chairman Mawhub-Mike Abdullah El, who abandoned his position in August without notifying any TC members, had been spreading false rumors about me ever since. On October 1, 2021, he quietly reappeared during a Committee Heads meeting – this time sporting a new title as the Temporary Co-Chair of the Interim Special Committee. Tensions rose as several officials tried blaming me for their own negligence. After a heated exchange, Mawhub exercised color of authority in an attempt to arbitrarily remove me from the Committee Heads group to ensure no one would object to his next plan of action – the complete dissolution of the ISC.

[Fun Fact: I had a reputation of objecting a lot because I’m an independent thinker who’s not afraid to express my thoughts, opinions and ideas, even in the face of adversity and ridicule. Truly fearless.]

Considering that he attempted to use the ISC charter to justify his actions, I immediately reviewed the charter in its entirety after the meeting and drafted an Affidavit of Facts based on my findings. Unable to substantiate his claims, he once again abandoned his post without notice 3 days later on October 4, 2021 and went into hiding. Curiously, he briefly resurfaced on Telegram shortly after word spread that Jamhal Talib Abdullah Bey was granted bail.

Gradual decline in activity after sudden announcement

After the failed coup d’état, the remaining active Moors – largely comprised of Committee Heads – were deemed the totality of the Interim Special Committee. In an unofficial capacity, I began assisting the Interim Chairwoman with drafting documents at her request. All relevant final documents were forwarded to ISC Secretary Njambi El for dissemination to the rest of the body. One of which being the Official Voting Results for the dissolution of the Interim-Special Committee. Of the 112 signatories on the ISC charter, only 8 were active at the time and casted a vote. The final results were 7 to 1 not to dissolve.

On October 25, 2021, the Interim Chairwoman suddenly announced her resignation, citing her time spent assisting the Moors who were incarcerated and responsibilities taking care of loved ones. Unfortunately, no delegation of authority was made prior to her resignation. So with the temporary Co-Chair abandoning his post and the Interim Chairwoman resigning, a new ISC Chairman could only be instated via an election.

According to the charter:

“At each meeting of the Interim-Special-Committee or any other Committees, the presence of 63% shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.”

Given that only 13 active members (Committee Heads) remained immediately after the Interim Chairwoman’s resignation, the body would need at least 9 members in attendance at the next meeting to transact the business of electing a new Chairman. Unfortunately, only 7 members attended the meeting on November 5, 2021. These seven members are as follows:

  • Shah Amarh El (Agriculture Head) and Naa Odey El (Jurisprudence Interim Secretary) together
  • Psusennes Bey (Moorish Affairs Head)
  • Ijah Simeon Bey (ISC Head Developer)
  • Devonte Bennet Bey (Tactical Training Committee Head)
  • Njambi El (ISC Secretary)
  • Hakeem Bahadur Faruq Bey (Technology Committee Secretary)

As a result, no action could be taken in regards to the election of a new ISC Chairman nor votes conducted in any official capacity. This pattern of a lack of quorum continued for every weekly Committee Heads meeting until the Moors adjourned on November 19, 2021. This was the last official Committee Heads meeting according to my records, but I continued to share the meeting link with the committee every week since then until December 10, 2021. Due to a lack of quorum the discussions in these meetings gradually shifted to creating the digital infrastructure needed to better manage the ISC when the Moors returned. After the 10th of December, these unofficial meetings continued in another group.

The charter further states:

“If a quorum is not present at a meeting, the Committee members shall adjourn the meeting from time to time without further notice until a quorum hall be present.”

Although there was no official vote, there was a general consensus among the few active Moors of the Committee Heads in November 2021 to keep the ISC as it is until the Moors come back. This includes the brothers of the Moorish Militia committee who were abducted. In the event that enough Moors return to the Interim Special Committee, more specifically the Grand Committee Heads and it meets quorum, then official business can be conducted.

A new ISC Chairman can be elected, and the body can be restored to full life from its dormant state. Then, we can pick up where we left off with the yearly schedule to fulfill the purpose of hosting and establishing a free Moorish Constitutional Convention. Any former member of the Interim Special Committee who desires to return and actively participate are encouraged to contact ISC Secretary Njambi El to express your intentions. Simply [re]join the ISC Telegram group chat and find her appellation in the list of members then send a private message or get in touch with her via any other previously established channels.

Noble Moors lay the foundation of the road to statehood

Around the time when the Moors were organizing the Interim Special Committee last year with the ultimate goal of establishing a national government, the Moors of the Colorado trust territory were organizing their State government. Unfortunately, they’ve recently had to endure repeated slanders from Kudjo Adwo El and a recent coup d’état attempt that resulted in the unlawful seizure of their website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. A new channel has been created by the de jure government officials to continue sharing their study sessions. In the near future, when my investigation is complete, I’ll write an article detailing exactly what happened to Allodium Moorish Praedium Ante Colorado (AMPAC).

Learning from AMPAC’s success and challenges, the Moors of the Georgia trust territory are not far behind on the road to statehood. On May 29, 2022, the said Moors ratified their constitution (The Law of Sankofa) and held their inauguration ceremony – officially establishing their State government Allodium Moorish Praedium Ante Georgia (AMPAG). Since then, I’ve been providing my professional services to assist them with website design, state identification cards, and more. With additional Moorish state governments being established in recent months, one of which being Meru State Republic, the Moors at Northwest Amexem are getting closer to resurrecting the Empire of Morocco.

As I mentioned in a recent post on Instagram, “Moorish States must unite to restore the Empire and its Sultan.” Likewise, as stated in this excerpt of an article:

“In time, these state governments will collectively establish a national government and resurrect the Moroccan Empire. Ultimately accomplishing the objective that the Moors set out to do last year.”

Hopefully this article has been helpful in bringing clarity to the matter of the Interim Special Committee and the Moorish Constitutional Convention. At 1,921 words, it’s about 600 less than the original article, but more precise with every detail. Although I’m no longer working for free as I did with the ISC, I look forward to assisting any Moorish body politic in need of my services.
